Just an announcement to mention that the package deals by Luminance Design have now been launched. These are in addition to the multitude of services already offered and are aimed at Sole Traders and Small to Medium Enterprises but, can be just as easily be used by larger organizations - and both can be customized to specific requirements.

Clients that have opted for one of these previously unpublicized packages are Holly R Hesson and MB Acupuncture. These two client sites are running on customized PIVOT and PIVOTX Content Management Systems.

This update is a minor one and is mainly to confirm that my RSS Feeder is correctly configured after a recent software update appeared to corrupt during a restart... All getting back to normal now though.

New site for a new client. MB Acupuncture is a traditional acupuncturist business run by Merre Bristow. Along with the web site I've also designed an e-mail signature, business cards and Word headers and footers for a consistent brand.

The web site is built on PIVOTX, an open source flat file database CMS that I favour for convenience, ease of use and manipulation - as well as the plethora of online support.

As a current client for her Total Rehabilitation business, when Jennie Bowman acquired the Chorlton based Meridian Therapy Centre and renamed it Anatomy Sports Injury Clinic, I was only too happy to provide assistance in taking care of the new business's web site.

Set up as a new site, it replaces the Meridian Therapy one with new branding [by designer Elizabeth Newell] and updated content. With promotion through the social networking site Facebook, this should prove to be a prospective business given the amount of enthusiasm that surrounds it.

I've also recently added links through to FeedBurner to promote awareness of the Luminance Design - Feeding RSS feed. Subscribe for updates.

A fresh start for the 2008-2009 tax year prompted me to redesign my site alongside reviewing my current business practices and of course, my rates. Naturally they will be increasing - but justifiably so, as I'm now focusing on CSS sites more than ever.

I'm no longer offering Flash services in favour of concentrating on using CSS to its full advantage. The new site is live but not complete or finalized by any means! I still have masses of copy to write and edit, images to grab for the 'surfing' and 'mailing' sections to display my work and no doubt several usability and optimization issues to deal with before I'm content with it.

Hopefully the new site will generate a bit more business as a result of the overhaul too, which would be no bad thing!
